MOVIE-WHORING

Apart from the busy schedule that I have, I cannot be halted from doing what I love most, watching movies. In two weeks, I was able to watch three movies, though the other one I only got to watch in a DVD copy, which is actually copied illegally(oh, please forgive me).

I have always enjoyed watching musical flicks, may it be Annie or Chicago. That's why I was forced to buy this DVD copy of Dreamgirls. As usual, I enjoyed the intricacies of the story. Dreamgirls is about nothing but love for music and concocted with feelings of greed and tough love. It was about three young women's(Deena Jones, Effie White, Lorrell Robinson) desire to become popular pop stars and subsequently got their wish as they were contracted to perform as backup vocals for Jimmy Early. Then they're set free as leads, performing as a trio. Here comes the conflict as their manager(Curtis Taylor) decided that Deena Jones will sing lead which upsets Effie since she always does lead. And here enters problems, lots of singing and everything more.
STARRING: Beyonce, Eddie Murphy and Jamie Foxx. Introducing Jennifer Hudson (American Idol Season 3 Finalist)

When you're looking for something to get you away from all of your enigmas, Night at The Museum could be the answer. Starring Ben Stiller, it is about Larry Daley, a divorced father who can't seem to keep a job for more than a week. He finally applies for a job in the Museum of Natural History as a night guard. However, a seemingly light job turned out to be a rampage when he found out that an ancient curse has caused the statues and everything, exactly, in the museum to come to life. It is a movie for the whole family as Ben Stiller joshes every minute in the movie.
STARRING: Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson and Robin Williams

Just in time to experience mushy feelings. Music and Lyrics had offered it to me. It is about a retired-band member Alex Fletcher who is struggling in his career when an opportunity came. He is given a couple of days to compose a chart-topping hit for a teen sensation singer(not actually a singer, she did dancing more in the movie than singing). Though he has never written a song in his entire music career, he was stimulated by a quirky younger woman Sophie Fisher with a flair for words and lyrics. Here comes their struggles in their own lives and finally, ending up for each other.
STARRING: Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant
