I abhor my name, more than anything in this world. According to my dad, Kenneth means handsome and Theodore means God's gift, therefore they named me Kenneth Theodore because for them, I am God's handsome gift.
Don't get me wrong, though. I actually love my name, especially considering the semantic relation of my name to me. LOL. But seriously, I hate my name because it's too loooooong.
During exams, you are supposed to write your name in your paper. You know the drill. So there I was, writing my name while everyone is already answering Test A. Why do I always complete my name when I can just write Ken Carsula? Stoopid. I just realized this when I was in Junior High. More stoopid.
I also hate it whenever I'm told to describe myself by filling in describers that start with the letters of my name. K. What the hell. Maybe some nerd might think of an adjective that starts with K, but this Carsula, none at all. But thank God my telencephalon was functioning that time, and I was able to think of knowledgeable as a describer. But don't be fooled, because I am nowhere near the word knowledgeable. :D
I, being the creative person that I am, can't as well think of an unconventional nickname for myself, I can only think of Ken which apparently is already popular among all Kenneths. I envy my friends whenever they create good nicknames for themselves. [I have a different notion of nickname by the way. It is rather not just shortening one's given name but also making it sound cool. Okay, I did not make any sense here.] So, I have to stick with Ken. But if you have any ideas there that you can contribute, you are more than welcome to share. :D
But apart from all these abhorrences, I kinda love my name. I already did mention it, right? Am I weird? Yes, definitely. :D
Sorry for the uh, rather sabaw atmosphere in this entry. I'll try to be more efficient next time. :D
